The pollution of our seas is a problem of global relevance. It is becoming increasingly clear what consequences global consumption, past and present, is having on the oceans, often with no regard for the environment. Images of beaches and seas full of plastic are appearing in the media more and more often, and we hear more and more often that marine animals are suffering massively from the amount of plastic in the world's oceans. A major cause of this global problem is the sharp increase in the use of plastics worldwide . Once in the sea, these cannot be easily decomposed - they turn into smaller and smaller plastic particles that animals can ingest through their food. On the other hand, large plastic products such as old fishing nets, due to their mere nature, act as real death traps in which marine animals can get caught and die.

At DEMARE, the cleanliness of our planet and, above all, the oceans is particularly important to us. We want to make a contribution to this not only through our sustainable, environmentally friendly products and a supply chain that is as low-emission and plastic-free as possible. We would also like to specifically support those who are actively involved in keeping the oceans clean.
We therefore donate €1 for each case sold to a non-profit organization that actively supports our oceans through its own projects - the association Ozeankind e.V.
